CleanX is a browser extension that filters content on X (Twitter). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data CleanX accesses, how it's used, and your rights.
CleanX does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us. We do not operate servers that receive your data.
CleanX accesses the following data, which remains entirely on your device:

| Your filter settings | To remember your preferences | Chrome local storage (your browser) |
| Keyword block lists | To filter by username/content | Chrome local storage |
| AI feedback history | To improve filtering accuracy | Chrome local storage |
When using Cloud AI mode, post text is sent to our CleanX API, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API for analysis:
If you use on-device AI (Chrome 138+), all analysis happens locally on your computer. No data is sent anywhere.
If you disable AI entirely, CleanX only uses your keyword lists for filtering. No external services are contacted.
